How do I make my teenage son understand that it’s not proper to have friends (girls and boys together) in the house when I’m not there? It’s not that I don’t trust him; it just doesn’t look right.
Advice: Tell your son that as long as he lives in your house, he must obey the rules that you set down – rules that you believe are wise and sensible.
Tell him that temptation might cause anyone to lower his standards, that you love him and want the best for him — and that you don’t want anything to happen that might hurt him and his life.
Don’t argue with him; just stand firm!
