“Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name.
Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits
Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and
compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s??? (Psalm 103:1-5).
~ Father God,
My heart fills with gratitude as I focus on Your holy name. Thank You for all the wonderful benefits I have in You. Your many-sided name reveals them to me.
I have the benefit of You as
* my rock and my redeemer,
* my anchor,
* my shelter,
* my strong tower,
* my comfort,
* my deliverer,
* my helper,
* my sovereign and
* my everlasting God!
You have touched my life with forgiveness and healing. Thank You for Your amazing love and compassion.
Satisfy my soul with You. Renew my strength today as I focus on You. Thank You that You have blessed my life with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus.
Help me to live in that knowledge today.
In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

I think that in day to day life the benefits of Christ Jesus can be forgotten. We are so busy trying to fix our problems for instant comfort and gratification that we forget all of the benefits and perfection that he has to offer. We also forget the we further complicate our lives by trying to fix things instead of waiting for our heavenly Father so that we will be in his perfect will.
It’s so wonderful to have this mail today.Today i passed my exams and it was great to prasie the lord this special day and thank him for his help and care.!!!wow:)PTL
I love the way God touches our hearts!
Sometimes I can forget what I have written and then I log on and He gently nudges me back to focus on Him. I love this Psalm.
May our hearts sing togeher, from the various corners of the earth, as we priase the name of the LORD our God together today. Be encased in His presence today.
Warmly,
Gail
Attitude of worship and praise. We sometimes look on the negative things and do not see the good that God has done.
I just lost a old friend and customer(Alice) she was 98 years young. I think how God has blessed her with good health most all her life. Alice has traveled the world and she was from the old school of morals.A quite christain lady, if she gave you her word it was like a contact. Made her own clothes. They tell me they don’t make them like that anymore.A great week for Alice …Praise the lord for he is our strong tower!
Reading today’s devotional brought 3 John 2 to mind. “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.” N.I.V.
We also see David talking to his soul in Psalm 42:5 “Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God,for I will yet praise him.
I do so agree that there are times when we have to not only speak to our souls (minds, emotions and will) with our own words, but to encourage them with what God is saying about the situations that may be discouraging us.

When I am down or I am doubting God always reminds me of what He has done for me in the past. He always shows me the things He’s worked out for me. Although I tend to get caught up in emotion and anxiety when I let him speak to me I always hear Him tell me, “Have I been faithful to you in the past?” And my response, “Yes, Lord” His response, “Then don’t worry about it I will do it again.” Just thinking about it makes me cry. I have such a hard time believing the truth until it comes true. And then I just want to smack myself when I look back and see how faitful God has always been. It’s horrible to have such anxiety when I go through trials and tribulations…I just wish I continually was able to remind myself of God’s blessings and grace. He truly does love me in spite of my wicked way. What a wonderful God we serve. His faitfulness alone is worthy of our constant praise.
I love that Psalm and have been able to learn those first five verses. When I read it it was like having an old friend visit me again. My friend was going through a hard time and I was able to introduce her to it. I just love God’s word. It blesses me daily and so often the right word is there on the day when i need to hear it.
What a beautiful reminder to just focus on the goodness of the Lord! As I began this day, I started down my normal road of prayer and meditation for loved ones and myself. But “Praise” led me to just give thanks for all that God is — all that He has done, is doing and will do. He is all that we ever need! In Him, there is no fear or need to worry. This scripture and devotion got me started on the right foot today, as I welcomed the Holy Spirit into my life with adoration, appreciation and praise!
I have elderly parents who accepted Christ years ago as their savior and I spent hours praying for their puplic profession, but God reminded me that the goodness and timing of the Lord always prevails. At the ages of 93 and 86 respectively my father and my mother joined hands and walked into the baptismal waters hand in hand. It was the greatest time of praise our family has ever witnessed together.
This scripture reminded me that we must not just read His word but study and WORSHIP with adoration His words and His teachings.
