**Are you feeling ready to walk away from a relationship – are you possibly even considering divorce? We want to pray for you. Please email us at: http://marriageuncensoredtalk.com/response/ask-us/
After nearly a month away from home, I arrived back to find several messages from people I had not heard from in months. They said, “You’ve just been on my mind this last while and I called to tell you I have been praying for you.”
I was amazed again at the care of God! I marveled at the peace that had encompassed the last several weeks and knew we had been carried by prayer. These friends did not know that our family was in the midst of burying my father-in-law and comforting Grandma. But they had prayed…and we had felt it.
An old, blind lady once told me, “Where prayer focuses, God’s power falls.”
If you feel alone today in your circumstances, know that God will be bringing you to the minds of other believers to be lifted up in prayer.
Know that those strong, persistent thoughts you have for another can often be God’s prompting you to pray for that person. Don’t worry if you haven’t been in touch or if you don’t even know what to pray. God knows! God works through our prayers and gives His Holy Spirit to pray when we don’t have the words.
“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express” (Romans 8:26).
Be alert when someone is on your mind for no apparent reason. Pray for them. You may well be one of those called to carry that person in prayer though a difficult time. And know that God will do the same for you when you are in need. Carried by prayer…it’s one of the ways He works in the lives of His children.
~Father God,
Thank you that You work through our prayers. Spur me on to pray for those who come unexpectedly to my mind today. Thank you that You will also bring me to the mind of others in my times of need. Help me to appreciate the wonderful privilege of praying for another even when I don’t know what to pray. How amazing that Your Spirit joins us in deep prayer! Thank You that our prayers for one another carry us when we cannot manage alone. How wonderfully You provide this strength for us, Your children.
With thanksgiving I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

I have found myself in some difficult situations and from no where I have experienced the peace of God and there is always an inner witness that someone somewhere is praying for me. And sometimes God has brought to mind some friends I have not contacted in years and with your devotion today I now know that I should pray for them.
I am thankful!!
A high school friend of mine has been on my mind off and on for decades. We were roommates for a short time after graduation, and as young people often do, we had a falling out and didn’t speak to each other after that. Several years later, at a high school reunion, some classmates asked if I had seen her and said that they had been trying to reach her for years, but she seemed to have disappeared from the face of the earth. They weren’t even able to reach her parents at their last known address and number. It was a troubling thought, because we knew that she had been in a romantic relationship with a guy that we all disliked (for good reasons), and we imagined that she must have needed support of friends if and when the romance went south. For years, I remember having a recurring dream of her, and waking up wondering what ever became of her. At the time, I didn’t know the Lord, and prayer was not a part of my life. The dreams eventually stopped, and I hadn’t thought of her for many years, until just recently. It was the same recurring dream, and when I awoke I had a sense that she was OK, but needed my prayers. This devotional reminded me again to keep her in my prayers. I have since resettled far from my childhood home and lost touch with all my high school acquaintances. If you are out there, Noreen, please know that I will continue to pray for you. Lord, I lift up Noreen, trusting that you know where she is and what her needs are. Thank you that you have called me to pray for her, and I just ask that you give her your peace today and that she would know you and trust your loving Grace and Mercy. Thank you that you found me and pulled me out of the pit through the power of your Holy Spirit interceding for me. I pray that you do the same for Noreen. In your powerful name, I pray. Amen.
wow what a fantastic devotional. I have thought about people so many times and cant figure out why they are on my mind. I know now to pray for them. I thank God for this websight and the insight it gives. I thank God for the Holy Spirit guiding me.
God Bless you all
Yes, to the comments. We have a dear friend going thru chemo right now. His name is often before my husband and I these past 8 months and so we lift him up before God also.
God often seems to awaken my husband around 3 a.m. w/names of people to pray for. Does this happen to any of you?
There have been many times that someone has been brought to mind and I have had a strong sense to pray for them, particularly their protection. This is something a seasoned/mature Christian woman taught me several years ago, and I was refreshed in that teaching this past week at a Conference for Women.
I’m learning that there is so much power in prayer…praise God! As I was traveling home this past weekend, the pilot came over the speaker and told us we were about to take off. He went on to tell the passengers to keep their seat belts fastened as we had about 80 miles of rough weather to go through.
My first thought, was oh, great…..as I had already missed my connecting flight….and was already a bit uneasy. I settled my thoughts and began to pray. At first, I prayed angels all around the aircraft…that we would have a safe flight, but then I thought..God is bigger than these storms and I found myself praying that God would dissipate the storms instead. I believe the Lord was leading me to pray differently, in faith.
That flight ended up being the smoothest flight I have ever remembered. God is so good……and how I love and praise Him!
Yes, Andi…God has awakened me in the night and tho I didn’t know what/who I was to pray for, as God brought people to my mind, I began praying for them. It was a fearful thing at first, but as I prayed, my heart was filled with peace. I must say that there have been times I continued praying until I sensed the Holy Spirit telling me…that I could rest with peace.
Yes, God does answer our prayer. The thing that God provided for me
were jobs. God always give me job. these entail getting our bills paid on time. Then God answer prayer by providing our first born needs. He is a
Pastor and love to serve the Lord. They don’t have retirement money but
have social security as their retirement to depend on. They are both
ambitious though. My son’s wife is also highly educated she has major
in Elem. Ed. she is certified to teach. My son now is still recovering from
accident that happenned August 5th. Scooter pop a rear tire. It went
skidding in the North bound traffic. He is all beat up. He has deep cut on the right eye brow, road rash on right cheek, right arm, right hip, elbows
and knees. I saw on line what he look like he appeared dead because he
is unconcious. All bloody and his arm and hands had bandages. Today
he is all clean up I was informed and looked better than before. He doesn’t have broken bone or internal injuries. Pray for quick recovery
please. He absulotely will be having skin graphing done. Today the doctor place him in hyperbaric chamber. He will be discharge and will
recover at home. They have four small children so pray that grace will abound. He is an ambitious man and not used to hanging around. He helps with the kids and involve with everything in the church. He is a computer guru.
I thank God for this devotional. It brings to light why sometimes i just feel i need to remember a friend or family. I have now reached a stage where i just ask God to help those who need my prayers to uplift them in need. No names but just a prayer to help another brother or sister who maybe crying out to God for help.
To Anita and all my christian sisters on line, my prayer is that God will help you and your family. That he will heal the sick in your family. That he will mend broken spirits and that his love which surpasses everything will encompass, enfold and lift you all up so that the glory or God may be revealed. Alleluia to our risen and great God
God bless you all
I KNOW peace comes when people pray. I am to face heart surgery in the next few weeks and people have been praying for me over the last week and the difference I am feeling is amazing. Last Friday everytime i thought of what was coming i was crying. I won’t say that I am completely past the tears but I do know that the peace I am feeling is real. I am also convinced that God does work through those prayers and that I will do my best to pray for others when I feel led.
I know God has given me a real burden for people who have lost loved ones. I have met a lady on this site last October who lost her daughter in a car accident a year ago last Mar 31st, we have become quite close and I only with Gods help have been able to be an encouragement to her. Also just this past week on this site I have met four ladies one who lost her husband and the other three lost their sons and I just have such a compassion for each of those people my heart just aches for them as I too have lost a husband and a teenage daughter. It is so much my desire to be used of God in any way that he sees fit to use me. That is one of my favorite songs “To Be Use of God” Hugs, Linda !!!
Precious sisters, I thank you for your prayers for my stomache. God answered your prayers. Nothing wrong with my stomach.
Jan, I will pray for you. May God drive away all the fears in your heart and give you His perfect peace.
my present life is not free of struggles and i have lived a life full of struggles because i raised my two children practically by myself. but it is my faith expressed through prayers that have seen me through. God has blessed me in so many ways and, most especially, my children. my dreams for them have come true. certainly, these are answers to my prayers.
i said my life is not free of struggles because i run my own business but i am undercapitalized so there are times when i run out of money to meet operating requirements and obligations. recently, i needed to fund a check (refund to a client). my mind was whirling as to how i can fund it. i can no longer ask for help from my partner because he has been subsidizing a lot of my expenses. but i prayed to God, asking him to lead me to the right person to help me. i listed names of people but not without hesitation. until i realized why don’t i ask the help of my son abroad. he is a devout born – again christian, always preaching the word. and what do you know? after a single email, he called and said yes. who else could have prompted me to ask my son for help but the holy spirit? who else could have answered my prayer and delivered me from this quandary but God? I sought him through prayers and he heard and delivered me from the situation. there’s nothing like prayers, really.
Jan, I will be praying for you. I was facing uncertainty only a few weeks ago…not knowing if I would need heart bypass. I was surprised at the fear that gripped me. Many women here prayed for me as we will pray for you. Please let us hear from you as soon as you can…..
Lord, we lift Jan to you right this moment…asking that you minister to her, give her a peace and calm that can only come from you. Lord, You are the Great Physician and provide healing to our bodies. Help us to trust You…like a child, Lord.
We thank you, Lord….for loving us so much…for your grace and mercy as we walk this journey…..for You. May other see You in us.
In Jesus Name
thank you for a great devotional
Thank you Patti, and you other folk who have prayed for me. Patti thank you for telling me how you felt because a week ago I felt really scared about what might happen. The tumour is not my worry although probably if it was left that is when i might begin to worry about it. What I am concerned about is waking with a tube down my throat and the the thought of how it might hurt. I believe that what I have is something like one in a million so i guess they will know what they are doing. God’s word has brought me great comfort, psalm 139 and ps 23 especially. But above all to be able to feel calmer a week later to the point that I do now Prayer is a wonderful way that God has given us to help people we may never actually meet face to face. He uses us in amazing ways to accomplish His purposes. So no prayer is ever wasted. There is a verse in Revelation which speaks about the prayers of the saints being like sweet perfume to God. So no prayer is ever wasted. ‘Rev 5:8 As he did so, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each had a harp and gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.’ Doesn’t that bring the most beautiful image to mind?
Dearest Jan….I am so sorry you have to go through this. Please let all of us know the date and time of this surgery so that we can be praying for you through this difficult time.

I am praying the Lord will envelope you in His peace and that this will soon be behind you. I pray that those who attend you will have expertise to make you comfortable and have the gentleness of Jesus. I am asking the Lord to minister to you and that His healing touch will comfort you during this time and recovery will be quick.
Dear Jesus…comfort Jan right now as she faces this surgery. Take away all fear of the unknown. Give her peace and assurance that You will have Your arms around her as the surgeons and nurses care for her.
In Jesus Name…….I pray believing…
Dear Patti, at the moment I know I am to have an MRI scan on August 20 and after thatat least a week later I meet with the specialist and the surgeon hopefully the same day. Waiting is not real easy because loads of what ifs go through your mind. and I wonder what’s. The tumour is benign and slow growing. I am thankful I don’t have cancer and that the operation should fix the problem. I do appreciate your concern and prayers. Please pray for my husband who is being very patient and caring at this time.
I will also pray for you husband, Jan. If you would like to share more with me, you can write me at pstew49@hotmail.com

Thank you so much for your prayers. While I am waiting others around me are falling. I received a call last night to say that one of my friend’s husband had a heart attack yesterday and had to be flown to the city for treatment. I live in country south australia and we have an aeroplane ambulance that flies emergencies to the city. Last week another friend was worried for her husband who was flown to the city with Lymphoma. We seem to have a great abundance of seriously ill people in our area.. So as you are praying could you please include the many people who live in our area who are ill and for the healthy ones that they might have protection against illness and disease. I hope I am not asking too much of you
(I am not the Jan selling my house) I pray for that Jan too as waiting to sell can be a burden sometimes that adds to stress.
Jan I’m praying for your husband’s friend for him to get better from a heart
attack and the other who has a lymphoma. I pray too for all the
inhabitant of her area to be free from illness. Also Lord for them to be save.
I pray that a clinic can be seat up there on occational physical exam. Lord
I continue to hold my son for healing from his scooter injury. Be with Jan Lord
and give her peace and comfort while she is waiting for her surgery.
jan i am praying for your friends who are sick and for their families.
