What would you do if you won a million dollars? I’d buy a small house and then hop on the first flight to Australia to meet my nephew. I’d travel, I’d give some away. I would buy more books. I would probably splurge on a really, really nice necklace.
When we think about money we tend to dream or to worry. Money seems like the root of all our problems and the salvation we’re looking for. We know we should handle our money better. We know we’re wealthy compared to most of the world but we wish we had a little more.
It can seem like money can do just about anything but as financial expert Michael Gibney discusses in his article, “Five Ways to Use Money” there are really only 5 things you can do with your money – earn it, spend it, save it, invest it and give it. Knowing what to do is one thing, knowing when to do it is another. Michael has some great advice to help you use your money well so there can be more dreaming and less worrying.
What would you do if you had your finances completely in order?

I’d sleep better.
Are you kidding me? Oh my, I definitely would be much happier due to the fact I will be debt free. I would also travel and help out family members, to a point. I believe that once a person have no financial worries, you would be able to do more of God’s work such as helping with the youth, volunteering more and sponsering projects with the church. I would a different mind set would occur such as a more free attitude. It is nice to say that you trust the Lord for all of your needs, but deep inside there is still a bit of reservations in us. Why else would people bother staying in jobs they hate.
If I had a million dollars, I would definitely be happier. When you have no debt, your mind set and attitude can only improve. Lets be honest.
